The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) wants EU countries with abortion bans – including Poland – to legalise the procedure.

The appeal included in the PACE report is directed among others towards Poland, Ireland and Malta, where terminations are allowed only in special cases or are completely forbidden.
