Empowering the most vulnerable women, men and young people in over 170 countries to access life-saving services and programmes and to live with dignity, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and its 30,000 staff, along with millions of volunteers, campaign for sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and deliver education and services through 65,000 service points.

In pursuit of our aim to improve quality of life and ensure all people’s right to enjoy sexual lives free from ill health, unwanted pregnancy, violence and discrimination, we are currently embarking on an ambitious new strategy and in order to achieve one of our priority objectives of ‘enhancing operational effectiveness and double national and global income’, the Director, Resource Mobilization, will lead and inspire the federations global effort.

In this key role for IPPF, you will lead on the development and monitor the implementation of IPPF’s Global Resource Mobilization Strategy. You’ll be responsible for leading and developing relationship building and visibility with IPPF’s key institutional donors and for diversifying and increasing funding.

With international travel, you will have a proven track record in international fundraising and funding diversification, with experience in managing a donor portfolio of government and private sector funds, and relationship management of high level institutional donors.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be competent in the presentation and preparation of funding proposals. You will have well developed people management skills with advanced application in staff management. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to maintain and development positive relationships with donors and employees. You’ll be tactful and diplomatic with sound negotiation skills, highly developed political acumen, and an awareness of and sensitivity to the multi-cultural environment in which IPPF operates. Fluent English is essential, and a working knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic desirable.

Additionally, you will have strong time management skills to meeting changing demands and priorities, a strong, analytical approach and you’ll be technology literate.
