Sujatha Natarajan works as a corporate social responsibility consultant to Indian industries and has worked with IPPF’s Member Association in India, the Family Planning Association of India, since 1998.
Sujatha’s desire to become a volunteer with the FPAI was sparked by her upbringing in a rural village in South India. She says she wanted to educate women and young people about sexual and reproductive health and rights.
As well as being heavily involved with the FPAI, Sujatha is also a member of a number of committees including the Chennai City Police Committee on Violence against Women, the Grievances Committee on Sexual Harassment of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatan and the Government of India Council of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
She is also a resource person on social development issues for a wide range of institutions including the National Commission for Women, the Indian Bank and the Airports Authority of India.
