Jeanne Loumeto has a BSc Degree in Biology and Chemistry. She is currently a Professor of Biology, as well as being the National President of IPPF’s Congolese Member Association, ACBEF (Association Congolaise pour le Bien Etre Familial). She first became involved with the MA in 1999.
In the past she has been Congo’s Minister of Women’s Affairs and the Integration of Women in Development.
She has wide experience in gender issues and the advancement of women; youth supervision and management as well as experience in the project management for the socio-economic rehabilitation of vulnerable people.
Her other roles include President of the Mother’s movement for Peace, Solidarity and Development which is affiliated to the World Mothers’ Movement. She is also a board member of the NGO “Femme Africa Solidarité, the Foundation Congo Assistance, the Congo Training Centre for Women in Politics and a member of the National Parliament.
