ESEAOR finance workshop

The whole team

Between 11 - 13 August 2008, 13 Member Associations from our East and South East Asia Region met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Together with Regional and Central Office finance collegues they explored opportunities to improve financial reporting and management in their Associations.

With a mixture of learning opprtunities and practical excercises the group looked at:

  • financial sustinability ideas
  • developing risk registers
  • disaster recovery planning
  • fraud response

The format will be repeated for Pacific Island Associations in late 2008.

Colin Munro

Financial Controller


Colin Munro, Financial ControllerColin Munro is Financial Controller based at our Central Office in London. 

With responsibility for the financial direction of IPPF his role involves ensuring that we have systems and reporting mechanisms in place to meet the evolving requirements of donors and regulatory authorities.

A particular interest is ensuring that financial information is available and utilized in a transparent manner in order to guide effective decision making.  

During his seven years with IPPF a key development is the independent audit committee who scrutinize and review the internal systems and reporting mechanisms.   

Prior to IPPF he was a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, London where he worked in the not-for-profit unit. He has also served as treasurer for a UK based international charity.  

He has a Masters degree from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
