“It was great to meet and talk with young people from other countries who are working for the same cause.”
“I am member of the Rwanda Youth Advocacy Movement (YAM), a youth organization that works closely with ARBEF, the IPPF Association in Rwanda.
I’m involved in a project of the Youth Incentives Fund (initiated by the Member Association of the Netherlands, with projects in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Malawi and Rwanda) that looks at the needs of young people living with AIDS (YPLWA) and child headed households (CHH).
We have started clubs for these young people which are linked to the ARBEF clinics and other health centres, and also run mobile voluntary counselling and testing clinics.
“I recently got the opportunity to meet young volunteers from Bangladesh and Kenya. We shared our experiences of youth participation.
When I visited the Mombassa youth centre I learned how to attract young people to the youth counselling centre through games and sports, music and internet services".
