Dual protection
Protection from both sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy is called ‘dual protection’.
Although this can be achieved by consistent and correct use of condoms, it is most effective when there is a doubling up of methods, with a couple using condoms and another form of contraception simultaneously.
