Pleasure and contraception

Some methods of contraception may decrease sexual pleasure for a couple, while others may increase pleasure.

Because sexual pleasure is a ‘perceived pleasure’, the effects of different contraceptive methods on pleasure will vary from person to person.

Use of contraception tends to be highly influenced by its effect on sexual pleasure, making couple communication and self-awareness important in finding the right method.
