More than 1.8 billion young people are in the world today. Almost half are girls and young women, and the majority live in developing countries.

Realizing girls' and young women's sexual and reproductive health and rights is a cornerstone of social and economic development and a human rights imperative.

However, around the world, girls and young women are often denied their sexual and resproductive rights and the opportunity to make informed decisions about their sexuality.

IPPF works in over 170 countries around the world to provide health services, expand access to sexuality information and education and advocate for positive policy change to advance girls' and young women's sexual and reproductive health and rights.
