Verdict On A Virus


The criminalization of HIV transmission or exposure is the application of the criminal law to prosecute when HIV is passed from one person to another. In England and Wales, more than 10 cases have been prosecuted since 2002 under the Offences Against the Person Act, a 'catch-all' law from 1861, for grievous bodily harm.
