For the first time in Tunisia this project, which is implemented in close collaboration with the National Union of Blind People (UNAT) and the Government, has provided access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and rights information, education and services to visually challenged young people in 10 UNAT training centres.

To do this it has provided specialised IT and Braille printing equipment to facilitate their use of information technology.

The Braille information, education and communication (IEC) materials produced by the project have enabled the young people attending the centres to receive, for the first time, accurate information on SRH topics.

The project is now serving as a model for services to visually deficient young people in the Arab World Region and beyond.
