Due to cultural norms and the fear of stigmatization, the men who have sex with men (MSM) population is very much 'hidden' and marginalized in China.
Their knowledge of HIV/AIDS and use of condoms are both very low.
Within this context, the project has the goal to improve male sexual health, particularly among MSM, in three selected cities in Gansu Province.
It aims to create a more supportive environment for MSM, to improve their sexual health practices and behaviour.
This includes increased use of condoms and sexual health services, and to increase the engagement of MSM organizations in planning and delivering sexual and reproductive health services in their districts.
