The Planned Parenthood Federation of Korea (PPFK) is one of the three major bodies involved in implementing the national family planning programme.

Objectives of PPFK projects are:

• to maintain population stability through the sustained implementation of the population and family planning programme
• to promote family health and welfare
• to achieve earlier financial self-reliance of PPFK through the diversification of projects and programmes

PPFk has implemented programme activities of each strategy under the following basic policies to achieve the objectives.

• promotion of family health welfare trhough increased maternal and child health services
• strengthened information, education and communication activities for the solution of unbalanced sex ratio 
• sexuality education programmes for young people
• implementation of family welfare programme in parallel with other major activities of PFK
• effective implementation of various training sessions through the reinvigorated operation of the training center
• development and distribution of audio visual materials
• building a solid financial foundation for self-reliance of PPFK through resource development
