Member Association: Morocco

Founded in 1971, the Association Marocaine de Planification Familiale (AMPF) became an IPPF member in 1972.

We were officially recognized as a non-governmental organization in June of the same year.

We advocate for a national population policy with political and religious leaders.

AMPF colloborates with both the public and private sectors to increase knowledge and use of contraceptives.

We also aim to improve women's status and sensitize men.

AMPF plays an important role in providing services, information, education and communication (IEC).

We particularly target rural areas with services through:

  • clinics
  • centres
  • home visits
  • community health staff
  • community based services (CBS)

Our advocacy campaign targets policy makers and religious leaders, aiming to spur innovative development strategies including population policies and family planning.

Main projects include population data collection and analysis, and setting up health and family planning centres, and reinforcing population education for all target groups in the community.
