Ensuring that funding for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) is included in development financing architecture is critical to fulfilling the unmet need for family planning and access to sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Funding for SRHR currently comes from various different streams including international donors, national governments and private funds. Current trends show that individual consumers in developing countries pay more than anyone else for their own sexual and reproductive health, with extremely high out of pocket expenditures.

IPPF advocates for streamlined efforts to reduce taxes and duties on SRHR commodities, to ensure national governments mobilize domestic resources and to coordinate international aid for SRHR.
