IPPF co-sponsors PAI's initiative against Global Gag Rule.

The Mexico City Policy, known as Global Gag Rule, prohibits foreign NGOs receiving US family planning assistance from providing legal abortion services and even information about or referrals for these services with their own, non-US funds.

IPPF cannot abide by a rule that undermines women's rights, and we stand to lose  $100 million for not signing the policy.

Cuts to critical funding for  sexual and reproductive health for IPPF will put at risk family planning, maternal health and HIV programmes for the world’s poorest. The human cost will be devastating.

We invite you to stand  for millions of women and their families who are affected by this policy globally. To highlight their need to access critical health services for their survival.

Join us for the Twitterchat Wednesday 28 February

You can hear from our regional director Giselle Carino about the impact the policy has in the Western Hemisphere region.
