Sky News drops term “heartbeat bill” after healthcare coalition call
The broadcaster says it will stop using the term “heartbeat bill” to describe attempts in the US to introduce six-week abortion bans, after conceding the phrase is biased. IPPF hopes this will prompt BBC News, who have not ruled out using the phrase, to reconsider its position.
Psychosocial support after a disaster: Cyclone Idai in Mozambique
AMODEFA, IPPF's Member Association in Mozambique, were at the forefront of the response to Cyclone Idai, which devastated parts of the country earlier in 2019. In fact, they're still there supporting communities, and Emerson, a clinical psychologist, is one of the volunteers on hand to help.
