The SMC is a new initiative that aims at enabling IPPF’s member associations (MAs), social movements and activists to deepen and strengthen their work and collaboration while building new sustainable synergies and achieving social justice. The centre is looking forward to developing a participatory process for envisioning a strategy that will lead its work and help the centre to place its focus on the actual needs of the CoP members. The process should be developed through using inclusive, participatory, human-centered and human-rights based approaches and should result in creating a strategic direction and priorities for the centre.
The process will include various stakeholders, for example:
1) SMC’s and MAP’s teams
2) Representatives of IPPF Centers and Regional offices and Central Office.
3) Current and potential members of the CoP - Social Movements members, CSOs and human rights defenders and activists.
N.B. The diversity of the participants will most probably require the use of simultaneous interpretation for parts of the process. The task of hiring interpreters will be handled by the SMC’s team.
