The Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA) focuses on advocacy, and on information and education activities for the whole community, but with a particular emphasis on young people.
The organization runs comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care clinics in Sofia and other cities. The clinics function as training centres for health personnel and social workers. BFPA is working in close partnership with the government on a project designed to extend these facilities to other parts of the country.
Mexico City Policy will have a devastating impact for International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) with its extension far beyond family planning. Restrictions into support for HIV, maternal health and infectious diseases programmes will mean that millions will be denied lifesaving healthcare they need. The policy will hit hardest, the women living at the margins of society – the poorest, the most remote and those under 25.
Argentina has a legislative framework which is favourable towards sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), but access to services is unequal and training for professionals in SRHR service provision is scarce or inadequate. The Fundación para la Salud del Adolescente Asociación Civil (FUSA AC) became a full IPPF Member Association in November 2010, and is currently developing its programme of activities in line with IPPF’s core objectives on adolescents and young people, HIV, access, abortion and advocacy.
