Building on a proud history of more than 60 years of achievement, we commit to lead a locally owned, globally connected civil society movement that provides and enables services and champions sexual and reproductive health and rights for all, especially the under-served.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POST

  • To provide support to IPPF’s international work to reduce abortion stigma, especially as it affects young people.

Main duties 

  • Work with the Programme Advisor on programmes related to the reduction of abortion stigma.    

  • Conduct high quality, desk-based research on abortion stigma and assist with research on an online education module on abortion

  • Help to support proposal writing
  • Support the development and maintenance of an online youth advisory group.
  • Undertake other tasks, as required, which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post.
  • Work within IPPF’s employment policies and procedures.

Person Specification

  • Ability to write for a range of audiences including: Professionals, young people and other organisations (E)
  • Ability to communicate, and work closely with, internal and external stakeholders, contributing to effective team and partnership working (E)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (E)
  • Excellent IT literacy and social media skills (E)
  • Self-motivated, flexible with an ability to plan, manage and prioritise a busy workload (E)
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or French (D)
  • Commitment to reducing abortion stigma and experience of volunteering in this field (E)
