IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals. In 2015 we reached 2.2 million people with Sexual and Reproductive Health services in crises. By 2022 we aim to reach 11 million people per year, leveraging the potential of our global network, telling the story of how crises impact on SRHR, and leveraging partnerships with leading global humanitarian organisations.
The purpose of this position is to support development of and monitor effective implementation of a humanitarian capacity building strategy for IPPF, with a focus on programming in the Pacific. The successful candidate will provide remote and on-site support to country focal points and build their capacity on coordination and implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health in Emergencies (SRHiE). They will report to the Humanitarian Deputy Director (Pacific), and be a member of the IPPF Humanitarian team.
You will have a graduate qualification in public health/education/training degree or equivalent with considerable professional field experience in capacity building in the Pacific, including in humanitarian settings. You have a sound understanding of SRH and sound experience in working collaboratively and effectively with partners in cross-cultural settings. You are supportive of SRHR and a women’s right to choose.
