IPPF is a UK registered charity and the leading civil society organisation working on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). As a Federation of Member Associations, we work in over 170 countries with the most vulnerable women, men and young people to access life-saving services and programmes and to live with dignity. IPPF’s 30,000 staff, along with millions of volunteers, campaign for sexual and reproductive health rights and deliver education and services through 45,000 service points. IPPF’s Secretariat comprises of Central Office in London, with Regional Offices in New York, Brussels, Tunis, Nairobi, Kuala Lumper and Bangkok.

 

IPPF’s new Director General, Dr Alvaro Bermejo brings renewed vision, passion and energy and in line with this, the time is right to recruit senior leaders who will support IPPF in reaching its challenging goals in the next few years. Among the senior leaders, IPPF is seeking to appoint a new Director, Programmes Division.

 

This Director is responsible for formulating and implementing global programmes and technical/clinical-medical strategy. The Director will take the lead in programme innovation. They will provide technical leadership on SRHR and integrated service delivery. They will be responsible for institutional delivery to include leading on restricted projects, and humanitarian work.

 

This role offers a unique challenge for individuals who are motivated by the mission of IPPF. The successful candidate will be a senior public health executive and effective strategist with exceptional leadership and people management skills. The Director, Programmes Division will also possess an in-depth knowledge of health systems strengthening and a track record in programmatic and strategy implementation at regional and country level. This Director will also be a strategic and visionary thought leader with the ability to champion a transformation process through engaging others, through a culturally sensitive and diplomatic approach.
