The Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF) is a multi-donor funding mechanism that’s aims at building a world where women’s rights to safe and legal abortion are established and protected and women are empowered to exercise these rights and their lives are saved. The post holder will support the effective implementation of SAAF grants with responsibility for a portion of grantee reporting to SAAF, including ongoing project monitoring and coordination and provision of technical support when required.
The successful candidate will have a developed application in multi-country programme management in developing countries, including monitoring and evaluation of programmes, design and implementation of evaluation strategies and the development of monitoring and evaluation plans. You’ll be experienced in implementing and monitoring sexual and reproductive health programmes, have excellent project development and management skills and strong research and analytical experience.
You’ll have good financial reporting skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to juggle multiple demands and priorities. You will be fluent in English and have strong working knowledge of French and/or Spanish. Importantly you’ll have developed cultural sensitivity and be supportive of a women’s right to choose and have access to safe abortion services.
