We are seeking an experienced and innovative Project Director to lead a global consortium to deliver a substantial, multi country integrated Family Planning and Reproductive Health Programme. The role will support and performance manage global and national partners to achieve project goals and provide technical and programmatic support.
Experience
You’ll have extensive experience of leading and managing complex consortia to successfully deliver payment by results contracts, with significant exposure to Sexual Reproductive Health and Family Planning programme management in developing countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia Regions. Additionally, you’ll have comprehensive technical knowledge of integrated sexual and reproductive health service delivery approaches, coupled with a sound technical or scientific understanding of Family Planning research, as well as experience of designing and managing evidence based programmes.
With a postgraduate qualification in public health, social science or a related field, you’ll have advanced application in the management of geographically dispersed and multi-disciplinary teams.
About you
We’re looking for a strong leader who has the ability to effectively engage and motivate a range of stakeholders. You’ll have first class interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels, and strong analytical skills. You’ll have advanced IT skills, and it goes without saying that your verbal and written communication skills will exemplary. With substantial international travel, you’ll have cultural sensitivity and be supportive of a woman’s right to choose and have access to safe abortion services.
You will be a strong Project Manager, with excellent budget management skills and the experience of reporting to donor agencies. This will be a busy, complex role, so the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines and excellent time management skills are essential. Fluent English is essential for this role and, in addition, French, Spanish or Arabic would be highly desirable.
