This is a very exciting opportunity to join IPPF as a Senior Advocacy Adviser and play a key role in achieving our ambitious strategic framework. We are looking for an experienced professional with solid background in research and political analysis on trends on advocacy, policy, implementation and accountability on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Gender Equality to increase our positioning as thought leader and influencer on SRHR.

 

Significant national advocacy experience gained from a low or middle income country. The ideal candidate will hold a post-graduate qualfication in public health or general subject preferably on research. Extensive experience of writing on complex and politically sensitive issues to a range of audiences as well as people management experience is essential. The successful candidate must have solid knowledge and experience on advocating for Universal Health Coverage.

 

Reporting to the Director of Advocacy, the Senior Advocacy Adviser will write policy positions, ensuring the quality of evidence we use for influencing change, and lead knowledge management and institutional strengthening systems, including capacity building, across the Federation. You’ll also have experience of managing multi-country projects with significant budgets. The successful candidate will have respect for diversity and commitment to gender equality and embrace women’s choices over their bodies including abortion.
