With international travel, you will be responsible for the financial oversight for a large, multi-country and multi-donor funded programme, the Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF). You will lead on financial management and reporting systems for the fund, ensure compliance with donors and IPPF financial management requirements, oversee the review of grantees financial reports and develop financial capacity building strategy to better support grantees.

 

 

You have a degree or equivalent standard of education and are a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).  You have a strong background in budgeting and financial analysis, financial control systems and audit.  Experience of international development issues and/or project implementation and monitoring in developing countries is essential. You are familiar with due diligence processes, risk management and procurement.   

 

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to train staff and give presentations, strong analytical skills and excellent IT skills including knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications. Knowledge of financial reporting systems is essential, as is fluent English.  Other languages (French and/or Spanish) are an asset.
