This post contributes to IPPF’s global technical leadership in quality Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in formal and non-formal settings; Youth and Adolescents Programming. By showcasing innovative and successful approaches from Member Associations within the Federation and to donors, taking lessons from other organisations and emerging best practice this post holder shall contribute to advancing the SRHR community. As a catalyst for technical centres and hubs they will build upon our internal capital for the benefit of the Federation as a whole.

You have a Postgraduate degree or equivalent standard of education in public health, social sciences or related field.

 

You have proven ability, advanced application and substantial experience in CSE, youth and adolescents sexual and reproductive health programming, preferably in developing countries. You have experience of youth centred approaches and youth participation, ideally in an NGO environment.

 

With good leadership and excellent advocacy skills you also have strong project development, implementation and evaluation skills and excellent technical knowledge/understanding of CSE, youth and adolescent issues and programming.

 

You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate training. With excellent time management skills you are able to meet tight deadlines. You are fluent in English.  Other languages (especially French) would be an asset. You have an up to date understanding of human rights instruments and rights based approaches to SRHR and to the global aid architecture. You possess cultural sensitivity and a strong commitment to advance the SRHR of young people.

 

This post includes international travel.
