Member Associations

The 8th of March Institute is a nonprofit organisation focused on highlighting injustices, inequalities and the importance of human rights as well as formulating and acting on concrete demands. The 8th of March Institute was founded in 2016, at first, their aim was simple: to continue raising awareness of the importance of equality. However, they soon began focusing on numerous other aspects concerning the themes of gender and inequality.

AIDOS began its journey in 1981 as a women’s association and non-governmental organisation. Since its establishment, AIDOS has worked in Low-Income Countries, Europe and Italy to build, promote and defend the rights, dignity and freedom of choice of women and girls. AIDOS works in partnership with local organisations and institutions to provide tools to women and their organisations, particularly in those areas where the experience of the Italian feminist movement has yielded significant results. These areas are: women’s rights sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) economic empowerment of women; education of girls. AIDOS’ approach is based on a continuous and equal dialogue with women’s and non-governmental organisations worldwide and with associations and people engaged with human rights, women’s and LGBTQI rights. AIDOS was recognised in 1992 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as eligible to manage public funds for implementing international development projects. And has a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and is implementing partner of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Italy. Association for human rights and civic participation PaRiter

EMMA Association is a national women’s organization, which works for the fundamental rights and societal equality of women, focusing on sexual and reproductive health rights, and gender-based oppression and violence during the childbearing and childrearing period. EMMA believes that each woman deserves dignity, security, freedom and self-determination in every single moment of their lives regardless of their sexual orientation, ethnicity, age or socio-economical status. It recognize the empowering potential of peer-support, the transformative power of personal and collective recovery of traumas, and the need for nurturing reflection and resiliency both at personal and organisational levels. We live and look at the life of women in its complexity, therefore EMMA is committed to cooperate with other women’s organizations and groups for the advancement of women’s life, making solidarity a lived value. FEDERA Foundation for Women and Family Planning (formerly the Federation) is a non-governmental organization operating since 1991, fighting for reproductive justice. FEDERA's mission is advocating for basic human rights, especially the right of women to decide freely whether and when to have children. Háttér Society, founded in 1995, is the largest and oldest currently operating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) organization in Hungary. Our aims are calling attention to the problems faced by LGBTQI people; providing support services; exploring the situation and needs of LGBTQI people; mainstreaming these concerns in laws and public services; protecting the human rights of LGBTQI people and countering discrimination against them; promoting the health and well-being of LGBTQI people; encouraging the self-organization of LGBTQI communities; and preserving and spreading LGBTQI heritage and culture. Women’s Rights Foundation (WRF) of Malta is a voluntary organisation committed to informing, educating and empowering women concerning their legal rights. WRF aims to ensure that women’s rights are protected through policy and law reform, raise awareness and offer training to end violence against women. WRF also provides free legal advice and initial legal representation to women who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and discriminated against due to their gender.
