The movement was born in January 2017 as a result of the reinstatement and expansion of the Global Gag Rule and has grown significantly since then. Working together with diverse stakeholders globally, SheDecides works to advance the fundamental right of girls and women everywhere to decide on their bodies, their lives and their future.
