An external candidate, Elizabeth Schaffer has been the interim Chief Financial Officer at Amnesty International USA since 2019. Since 1993 she has worked as a Consultant, Coach and Trainer. Previously, she was Chief Financial Officer at TNTP from 2017 to 2019 and before that she was Chief Operating Officer at the Global Fund for Women from 2012 to 2017. She has been a Board Member of the Criterion Institute from 2016 to 2018 and a Steering Committee Member for Women Effect in the same period. She was also on the Board of Equal Rights Advocates between 2002 and 2009 and again from 2013 to 2017.
