Eugenia is a seasoned social justice and gender equality advocate with extensive experience in policy advocacy and coalition building. She has extensive experience building capacity and supporting social movements of economically and socially disadvantaged women, young people, rural and indigenous populations, and LGBTQ. Over twenty years experience participating and leading regional and Global South feminist networks and working in multilateral spaces and with policymakers. Led a Mexican feminist NGO, Balance, that conducted human rights advocacy through LAC for ten years.  She co-founded the Abortion Fund for Social Justice: MARIA, the first initiative of its kind in Latin America. She co created the Integrated Model of Health Care for Rural Adolescents of the Mexican Social Security Institute, Ministry of Health. She has been representating IPPF at the Safe Abortion Action Fund since 2021. Eugenia is based in Mexico City - Mexico.
