An Internal Trustee and member of the Syrian Family Planning Association. Ammar is a dentist with experience in training, peer education, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), focusing on public health and community-based interventions. Ammar has contributed to initiatives with the Y-Peer Network, ADRA, and UNFPA.

Ammar is actively engaged in the IPPF Global Youth Network, the Arab World Region Youth Network, and the Digi SexEd Creators Hub. His work promotes equity, inclusion, and collaboration while addressing discrimination, gender-based violence, and youth empowerment. He is a laureate of the Marianne Initiative for Human Rights Defenders Prize (France, 2026).
