The climate crisis poses a major threat for sustainable development and the realization of human rights, including SRHR. To mitigate climate change and reduce its harmful effects, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions must be reduced to sustainable levels.
The IPPF Secretariat is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and environmental impacts through environmentally sustainable organizational policies and practices. As part of this, we are committed to analysing, reporting on, and reducing our carbon emissions.
The purpose of this consultancy is to:
- Analyse and report on IPPF’s carbon footprint for 2021 and 2022 using the World Resources Institute (WRI) GHG Protocol and covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3, and comparing this to previous years reporting.
- Advise IPPF on emission reduction strategies and actions.
We are inviting applications from consultants and companies experienced in supporting organizations, particularly international non-governmental organizations, in addressing their carbon footprint and environmental impacts. Consultants must use methodology aligned to the WRI standards and GHG Protocols for best practice reporting. Applications should include:
- Proposed process for undertaking the work, including consultant’s approach for data collection and analysis, working across multiple IPPF offices
- Availability, proposed timeframe and deliverables
- Rate and estimated cost
