The Fédération Francophone Belge pour le Planning Familial et l'Education Sexuelle serves Belgium's Wallonian community. It runs 42 centres, where it conducts training in family planning for health personnel, and an information and documentation centre. Sensoa serves Belgium’s Flemish community. It is the official government partner in the Flemish region with regard to SRH promotion. The organisation was created in 2003 from the merger of several HIV and AIDS organizations and the region’s family planning association (CGSO). Its work includes information, education and communication (IEC) activities carried out through the mass media, brochures, exhibitions, posters, manuals and training packages, targeted at youth, young adults, men who have sex with men, and people living with HIV and AIDS. Sensoa also runs a training centre, an online shop and a counselling service for people living with HIV and AIDS. Additionally, the organisation has an international programme which is primarily involved in advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV and AIDS in Belgium’s international development cooperation, and on associated capacity building. The Association Algerienne pour la Planification Familiale (AAPF) was founded in 1987 and became an IPPF Member Association 2 years later. The organization works for the well-being and development of individuals and families through the promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and family planning. The organization partners with a large number of ministries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), UN agencies, donors, academic/educational institutions, parliamentarians, human rights advocates, and media. By harnessing such partnerships, for example,  AAPF played a central part in the country’s 'Stop the Violence Against Women Now' campaign. AAPF forged a civil society coalition with the support of the IPPF Innovation Fund. This coalition advocated to decision makers to adopt a law that would protect women against violence and to sensitize the public on the issue. This campaign is now being used as a model for other Member Associations, and it will form the basis for an advocacy toolkit for other groups faced with similar challenges.
