The Association Marocaine de Planification Familiale (AMPF) was founded in 1971. The organization is actively promoting a national population policy, and does so through advocacy with political and religious leaders. This is complemented by a committed programme of information, education and communication (IEC) within the community designed to enhance understanding of the benefits of careful child spacing and contraception, in terms of health and personal welfare, and economic security and stability. There is a strong focus on sensitizing men with regard to gender issues, in order to improve women’s status.   AMPF operates a large and successful network of hundreds of service points, including permanent clinics, mobile units, and community-based distributors/services (CDBs/CBSs).   Website: www.ampf.org.ma

The Federation of Reproductive Health Associations of Malaysia (FRHAM) is 1 of the 3 main implementing agencies involved in Malaysia’s national family planning programme. It delivers a broad range of services through a sophisticated and extensive network of 39 permanent clinics, 356 mobile facilities and 205 community-based distributors/community-based services (CBDs/CBSs). Services include sexual and reproductive health (SRH) consultation assistance and prescribing, contraceptive advice and fertility management, and the promotion of women’s independence through economic/work-based initiatives. FRHAM also undertakes work with specific, marginalized groups which face particular SRH challenges, as exemplified by a community-based project in the Malaysian aborigine village of Kampung Tisong, in the Perak district.
