Profamilia is a private non-profit organization that, for more than five decades, has been promoting and defending the exercise of Sexual and Reproductive Rights of the population in Colombia so that they can make free, safe and informed decisions about their sexuality, without discrimination, coercion or violence.  Through its five strategic lines of action, Profamilia achieves national coverage by offering sexual and reproductive health products and services benefiting the most vulnerable population. To date, Profamilia has 40 clinics in 31 cities in Colombia, making it the largest private institution nationally and the second largest in developing countries guaranteeing access to health, with an emphasis on sexual and reproductive health. Strategic lines of action Profamilia IPS With more than 40 clinics nationwide, Profamilia is the leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services in Colombia: contraception, prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections - STIs, safe abortion, gynecology and urology services, among others, are part of the services offered.  Profamilia Farma Profamilia Farma offers a wide portfolio of products for the full, safe and pleasurable experience of sexuality such as: contraceptives, pregnancy tests, condoms and lubricants.  Profamilia Farma has a national marketing reach with the highest quality standards.  Profamilia Social Projects and Research  Profamilia is a strategic partner for the execution of high social impact projects. Through strategic alliances with public and private organizations and international cooperation agreements, it works to guarantee the Sexual and Reproductive Rights of people in Colombia.  In addition, it researches, analyzes and documents phenomena related to sexual and reproductive health in the world, with emphasis on the Colombian context. Founded in 1957, the Jamaica Family Planning Association (FAMPLAN) pioneered family planning services in Jamaica and played a major role in establishing government policy and programmes. FAMPLAN supports the national programme by providing family planning information and education and offering services to underserved peripheral communities. As an adjunct to government provision, FAMPLAN provides sterilization facilities. The organization is a major advocate of the need to institute sex education in schools and of the need to develop greater understanding of, and support for, family planning among leaders. The Member Association seeks to heighten awareness of its work in the media and among professional groups. One of FAMPLAN's key objectives is to integrate HIV and AIDS and sexually transmitted infection (STI) services into its overall family planning offering. Staff highlight the dual benefits of condom use for the prevention of both unwanted pregnancy and STI transmission, including HIV. An important part of the Association's work is to empower women to assert their right to refuse unsafe sex, by teaching them safe sex negotiating skills. FAMPLAN is an associate member of the umbrella organization the Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation. The Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation (CFPA) is the only regional non-governmental organization (NGO) devoted to family planning and sexual and reproductive health in the Caribbean. CFPA serves 13 island Member Associations and 5 Associate Member Associations in the Caribbean, Central and South America. It supports these Associations with technical assistance and materials, and represents their collective interests at IPPF meetings and in the Caribbean region among governments and NGOs. CFPA Member Associations are located in Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Nevis and St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Vincent. CFPA Associate Member Associations are located in Belize, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. The CFPA does not offer any clinical services or distribute family planning methods to clients, but rather focuses its work on governance and institution-building among its Member Associations. The CFPA oversees, manages and analyses core grants to 7 Caribbean Member Associations. The CFPA also submits project proposals for donor funding on behalf of the Associations.

MEXFAM works in 25 of the 32 Mexican states. It runs 85 service points, including 19 permanent clinics, 63 mobile facilities and through partnerships with 3 associate clinics. MEXFAM covers the full gamut of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs and issues, including contraception, antenatal/post-natal care, maternal and child health, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV and AIDS, and information and education programmes. There is a particular bias towards serving those communities not reached by the government’s programme, including the economically disadvantaged, the rural poor, young people and men.  Of particular importance to the development of MEXFAM’s work has been the training of a network of teachers in priority areas who received 4 years training, and subsequently went on to train 98,000 young people and 16,000 parents in family planning and sexual and reproductive health.    Contacts Website: http://mexfam.org.mx/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Mexfam Twitter: https://twitter.com/MexfamAC

The Instituto Peruano de Paternidad Responsable (INPARRES) operates an extensive network of over 1,800 service points which include 16 permanent clinics, 1 mobile facility and over 1,000 associated facilities. Its Family Planning Brigades reach out to nearly 500,000 people in remote communities. The organization works with community groups and private doctors to integrate family planning services into maternal and child health programmes, and to conduct wide-ranging information, education and communication (IEC) activities. INPARRES also provides training in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV and AIDS, to health workers, teachers and journalists. INPPARES’s far-reaching youth programme employs doctors, social workers, psychologists, health educators, youth volunteers, communications experts and employment counsellors to undertake outreach work in schools, youth centres, communities and a wide range of informal outdoor locations – including beaches, markets and music events.
